Before the film, Dabangg’s song Munni Badnaam was made, this is how Salman’s entry
Lalit told that Arbaaz Khan had asked him for an Indian Touch song for his film. Later when he narrated the song to Arbaaz, he fell down laughing.

Lalit told that Arbaaz Khan had asked him for an Indian Touch song for his film. He said, ‘Munni Badnaam song which was made in 2010 is not the first song made. Even after that, many people tried to make the same song, but could not succeed. The film was not only a song but a hit film. By the way, he did not show his strength in both the series of Dabangg. I have also worked with Arbaaz Khan in the past, so when he was making a domineering, I said, “Come on, let’s think some new song Vana, I make something for your film.”
I said I have a song for your film, let’s tell you sometime. Till then, the name of the film was not announced that he was making a domineering. One day Arbaaz came home and together with director Abhinav Kashyap of Dabangg also came to my house. When we started our session, Arbaaz said that we are making a film and for that we need a song which should have an Indian touch or desi tadka, which will pull our audience and in which a little action will also be shot. Want a song for the film.
Salman Khan liked the song
Lalit told that Arbaaz Khan had locked this song. He told- Arbaaz said that Panditji we lock this song. Will take this song for the film. Then the song was recorded, first Arbaaz wished that the whole song would be on Malaika but later it was decided that there would be two lines for Villain as well. The situation in the song was such that Salman finally arrives and threatens Villain Sonu Sood with his full Lashkar, in the same way as the hero of the film Sholay’s song Jab Tak Hai Ja has an entry and action.
How did Salman’s entry in Munni badnaam
When Salman heard this song, he liked this song very much and then Salman said to me that if Lalit does not have my antara in this song, then this song will not work in such a good song, so my entry should be there. Because Salman felt that it is such a powerful song, if I do not live then this song will not be able to go where it should go. Then I wrote the third stanza again. I had already written 2 stanzas, but on Salman’s demand, we later recorded the third stanza.
Lalit Pandit further said- Then see for yourself where the song has reached. After Salman’s arrival, it was as if the song became four moons. Salman’s entry is there and whatever was decried earlier that finally there will be action, then that part i.e. all the action was removed and it was made a comedy and the song was shot very beautiful. Salman’s stardom and the desiliness of the song were well liked. Salman’s idea of making himself a part of the song came in handy. I was also confident in my song that if this song was shot with good stars, it would be very dhansu. You see for yourself, even after 10 years, Munni has become infamous, people still like this song.
