Akanksha Arora is the founder of Tribe Amrapali, the first Indian brand to offer demi-fine jewelry that combines traditional aesthetics with contemporary flair. Early on, the brand redefines the meaning of ‘cool contemporariness,’ and it continues to enthrall its clients with new lines.

Tribe Amrapali, founded by jewelry designer Akanksha Arora, whose father-in-law Rajiv Arora founded the iconic parent brand Amrapali Jewelers, focuses on silver, gold-plated silver, and fashion jewelry. Akanksha’s interest and love for jewelry was cemented when she married Tarang Arora, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewelry, Mumbai (IIGJ).

When she launched a Facebook page for her mother business, Amrapali Jewels, she got the concept for Tribe Amrapali. In comparison to Amrapali Jewels, Tribe Amrapali symbolizes more cheap pieces of jewelry that are created in larger quantities.

Tribe Amrapali has developed to the point where they have conquered all of the obstacles we previously faced. They can now sell jewelry online while keeping prices reasonable, quantities scalable, and items that are easy to ship internationally with fewer duties.

Her plan is to expand Tribe Amrapali stores into tier II cities across the country as fashion consciousness grows. Akanksha’s aim is to make Tribe Amrapali more accessible to people from all cities by designing affordable jewelry lines that anyone can afford. She is also working on expanding distribution channels and hopes to expand Tribe Amrapali’s footprints internationally in the near future.
