Sonal Jindal is the founder of Medusa, a fashion events management company that organizes fashion and lifestyle exhibitions to provide a platform for emerging designers in the fields of fashion, lifestyle, and jewelry.
Sonal had always wanted to be an entrepreneur, but her dream did not come true until she was in her mid-30s. Sonal began looking for business opportunities after earning an MBA in marketing. Her love of fashion compelled her to start her own label. But things didn’t work out, and she had to close the shop.
She was a frequent visitor to fashion shows, and she began to like the idea of organizing shows. She recognised that the industry needed a boost, which she believed she could provide with the right marketing mix. She launched Medusa in 2014 after conducting market research and analysis. The Delhi-based company organizes fashion industry exhibitions and events. Its clientele includes top fashion houses, hospitality groups, lifestyle companies, and real estate moguls. Sonal is well-known for working her magic for clients who want to see their ideas become well-known brands.
She is an award-winning businesswoman who has established herself in the industry through sheer hard work and perseverance in her work. She has also received the Nation Excellence Women Entrepreneur Award and will be recognised by ASSOCHAM in 2020 for her outstanding contribution to MSME. She has successfully executed and organized over 20 B2C lifestyle exhibitions for the event management company MEDUSA, where she worked with over 2000 women SMEs, providing them with a sales platform and contributing to their economic strength.
She has appeared on CNBC TV18’s Incredible “Journey of Brands and Leaders” series. Medusa EXIM is a UN Women and UN Global Compact signatory. She is implementing seven principles throughout her organization and vendor network.
It’s no surprise that this charming lady is also a Director at Moodboard Consultancy, a specialized consultancy for corporate and retail clients. In 2018, it established its first Asia-Pacific business operations.
