Ong Yong Xun

Ong Yong Xun is also known as Zero is the founder of JomStudy, a free SPM software that gives students short and sweet revision notes that they may use anywhere and at any time.
In the midst of a pandemic, Xun was studying for his SPM exams when he had the idea to build a platform to assist other students with their studies. The difficulty was that he had no idea how to code.
As a result, he spent six months on YouTube studying the trade. That, ironically, earned him the moniker “Zero” and led to the creation of the JomStudy app. Zero jumped right into making his JomStudy ambition a reality after graduating from Form 6. Within four months of its release, it has accumulated more than 10,000 downloads.
In the second half of the year, Ong aims to enhance the app’s array of study aids, including movies and end-of-chapter quizzes, by adding review notes from high school grads. The app’s purpose is to provide students with short and to-the-point notes. Furthermore, because everything is included in one app, users won’t have to lug around as many hefty books.

His work has been recognized by a number of local media outlets, as well as Forbes, which has designated him as one of the Forbes 30 under 30 honorees for 2021, making him the youngest Malaysian to do so.
