Kirti Bhoutika is one of the most popular pastry chefs in our country. She is the youngest MasterChef India. Born in 1996 in Kolkata she was passionate about cooking since a young age and she started taking baking classes in her school and used to cook for her friends, family and relatives but later she opened her confectionery called sugarplum cakery. She loves travelling, dancing, cooking, painting and reading, she is a trained dancer and a very good painter. Currently, she is pursuing her graduation in food and nutrition from J.D.Birla Institute, Kolkata.

In 2016 she won Masterchef India Season 5 proving her culinary talents on the small screen. After her win, she has worked in various restaurants like LIMA, NRI and Farzi Cafe Mumbai. She has also done sit down dinner for Rang Mahal, Dubai. She has also done a sit-down dinner for the Embassy of Italy in India in 2017. In January 2018, she was invited to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum to cook the desserts for the dinner hosted by PM Narendra Modi for the delegates from all around the world. She also owns a YouTube channel which is loved because of all the doable and pretty dessert she teaches. Apart from this she keeps travelling the country and the world to do cooking events like teaching and preaching her love for cooking.

Sugarplum cakery is her brainchild, she is herself a dessert fanatic and she started sugarplum cakery in 2015 with the motive to bake the best cakes for Kolkata. From cupcakes to cakes, macarons to choux pastries, tarts and brownies, Sugarplum offers delicious and addictive treats.
