Ishita Sawant is the founder of Meolaa, a company that aims to define the future of shopping by curating products that resonate with the values of next-generation shoppers — Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Y consumers — who are more likely to buy sustainable, high-quality products.

22-year-old Meolaa was founded in early 2022 by Ishita Sawant, a Bachelor of Science in International Business (Marketing) graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. She founded the Meolaa platform with the goal of creating new-age commerce experiences for customers, such as a customer portal, super-admin portal, seller portal, and dispatch center portal, among other things.

Meolaa currently employs 25 people in sales, operations, category management, technology, marketing, growth, and creative functions. Meolaa’s mission is to create new-age commerce experiences for customers, such as a buyer portal, super-admin portal, vendor portal, and dispatch centre portal, among others.

The startup currently has a database of over 4,000 direct-to-customer (D2C) manufacturers, of which it has boarded nearly 250 across athleisure, loungewear, relaxed suits, face yoga/massages, and many other segments. In response to Meolaa, these manufacturers have enabled new-generation customers to buy with function and curation while also promoting gender fluidity, dimension inclusivity, and a variety of other concepts.

Over the next six months of founding Meolaa, Ishita and her team planned in-depth and impactful on-line and offline activation for the model, including concept-driven expertise centers, revolutionary technological advancements, and commerce expertise innovation.
