Dancer from small town who made it to the B-Town: Vartika Jha
Being a girl who is coming from a lower-middle-class family and then making your name in the Bollywood film industry as a dancer is still a dream for many and Vartika Jha has made that possible all on her own.
Born in a small town in Renusagar in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, Vartika was passionate about dance from her childhood. Her family has always been a huge support system for her. It was her father, Arvind Kumar Jha who belongs to Madhubani, Bihar who saw a spark in Vartika and took her to a dance trainer where she learnt all the basics of dance.
During her school days in Renu Sagar, she started taking part in competitions at the local level where her father used to take her. At the age of 12, she performed on a competitive level for the first time.
After winning many awards there, she took the decision to take parts in Reality shows and came to Mumbai. But it was not a piece of cake. In her initial days in Mumbai, she faced many problems but she did not lose her hope and kept practising for her goals. And then she got selected in Star Plus’s dance reality show named “Dance Plus 4” where she showcased her talent to the whole nation and made it to the finale of that show.
During that show, she impressed all the judges including the famous choreographer Remo D’Souza who later gave Vartika her dream break in a Bollywood Dance Movie Street Dance 3D which was Directed by Remo D’Souza.
She also has a huge fan following on Instagram with about 900K followers and she uploads regular dance contents there.
