WhatsApp released this new feature for Android beta users
WhatsApp has started releasing its ‘advanced search’ feature for the beta users of Android. This feature was being tested by the social messaging platform for the last few months and it was first released for iOS users.
As can be understood from the name itself, this feature will make it easier to search files in WhatsApp. This actually creates a category of different types of media and files shared on WhatsApp.
Currently, the new advanced search feature has not been made available in the stable version of WhatsApp. However, Android users who are part of WhatsApp’s beta program can start using it.

This is how WhatsApp’s advanced search feature works
This new app is already on by default on WhatsApp. When you go to the top of the app and select the search tool, you will see a drop down menu with photos, videos, links, GIFs, audio and documents. You can select any of these options to search, or even type directly in the search bar.
For example, if you select photos, you will see all the pictures sent and received in WhatsApp. You will also be able to type inside these search boxes. You will also get the option to switch to grid view.
