Shreya Patel, The Founder of Window Dreams Productions
Shreya Patel is the founder and CEO of Window Dreams Productions which is a successful production company with a focus on impact-production. Their widely recognised leadership is dedicated to creativity, narrative, and increasing the exposure of the project, whether they are working on-site or remotely.
The 2019 Civic Action Summit included their documentary Girl Up, which was picked by the Toronto International Film Festival. It is one of the most in-demand movies that addresses violence and human trafficking. Corporate videos, documentaries, music videos, movies, podcasts, and poems are among their often produced works.
Shreya Patel, a former model who is now a writer, director, actress, and mental health advocate, embodies selflessness. She has devoted her life since infancy to social work as well as a professional career in the arts and film as a voice for the voiceless. She is a recipient of the Women’s Achiever Award, Emerging Leader Award Under 35, Top 100 Most Powerful Women Of Canada (Arts, Sports, and Entertainment), Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award, and Forbes 30 Under 30 (Media) awards. She weaves together many of her varied interests and significant activism activity in film productions since she is a good storyteller.
She has been a part of the national mental health awareness campaign “Bell Let’s Talk,” which won a Canadian Screen Award, since 2018, shattering the taboo surrounding mental illness and providing assistance. She received recognition from Global Affairs Canada for her advocacy on behalf of mental health. She is currently creating a film about trafficking as well as the comedy series Layla is Relevant.
