Jubin Nautiyal: The New King Of Romantic Songs
Jubin Nautiyal was born on 14 June 1989 Uttarakhand. He sings with only instruments i.e guitar. He has been signed to big labels like T series, Zee Music Company.
He was attracted towards music at an early age of four taking his father’s love for singing. Up to 8th grade, he did his schooling from St. Joseph’s Academy Dehradun. Thereafter he continued his schooling from Welham Boys School, Dehradun where he formally studied music as a subject which led his foundation in classical music, he also learned to play instruments like guitar, piano, harmonium and drums. He was a well-known singer in his hometown by the age of 18.
He moved to Mumbai after completing his schooling in 2007 where he joined mithibai college. He continued his training in music under Pandit Channulal Mishra Ji in Varanasi and explored the music scenario of Indian films. During all this, he met AR Rahman who suggested him to continue his work on and explore for a few more years before entering the Indian music industry and he appreciated his voice quality.
Considering his advice he moved to his hometown and continued practising under his school teacher Mrs Vandana Srivastava. He also took additional music lessons in Hindustani Classical music from his guru Mr Samant. He continued polishing his skill for 4 years.
He made his debut in the Indian music industry with the song “Ek mulaqat” from the film Sonali cable which was a hit. He gave many hit songs some of them are – Meherbani from “the shaukeens” , Zindgi for “bajrangi bhaijaan” , bandeyaa for “jazbaa”. In 2019 his songs “Tujhe kitna chahein aur hum” from Kabir Singh and “Tum hi aana” from Marjaavan established him as one of the leading singers in the industry. He is often compared to legendary singers Atif Aslam and Arijit Singh due to similar voices and texture.
In 2015 he received Mirchi Music Awards in upcoming male vocalist of the year category for his song Zindagi Kuch Toh bata from Bajrangi Bhaijaan
