Hannah Curran is the founder of Pure Born, a family-owned eco-friendly company that makes bamboo-based plant-based items for environmentally aware women and their children. The company is in charge of developing and designing infant items. These products are unique in that they are made from natural ingredients, making them healthier for baby’s skin and better for the environment.

Hannah lived in the United Kingdom before founding Pure Born, where she was continuously motivated by her mother’s entrepreneurial spirit as the proprietor of a thriving children’s nursery. Hannah arrived to the UAE in 2011 to follow in her mother’s footsteps and work with nurseries and children, but she quickly recognised there was a vacuum in the market for high-quality, environmentally friendly products, and Pure Born was born.

Pure Born has quietly developed to become the market leader in the organic nappies sector over the last three years, thanks to the 26-year-old parent and entrepreneur. In addition to their own e-commerce portal, Pure Born can now be found in all major stores across the UAE, including Carrefour, Lulu Hypermarket, and the Union Co-op. Pure Born first entered the Saudi Arabian market in March 2018, followed by Bahrain and Jordan.

Its items are now available in 14 countries, both online and offline. PureBorn nappies are produced from organic bamboo, and the company’s entire line of goods is vegan, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, dermatologist-approved, and ethically sourced.

Hannah is the epitome of an entrepreneur, having transformed Pure Born into a market leader in less than two years, with aggressive development and expansion plans for the next year and beyond. Hannah began with the simple goal of providing clean, environmentally friendly alternatives to mothers and children.

With her eco-friendly nappies and fashionable nappy prints, she is now taking on the world’s largest nappy companies. Her love of business and innovation has resulted in a company that represents and leads the way in the green and organic area. Hannah is altering the narrative and proving that the glass ceiling can be shattered at the age of 27 and as a mother working in a male-dominated business.
