Meeta Sharma Gupta is the founder of Shumee which is a business that produces simple yet entertaining toys for youngsters in an effort to revive the joy of play for them. Shumee is an Indian toy company founded by a mother who is dedicated to making playtime developmentally appropriate, kid-safe, and sustainable. For children ages 0 to 6, Shumee creates interesting, open-ended wooden toys, games, and activity boxes. Local artists use natural materials and non-toxic colors to make each Shumee toy.

Meeeta Sharma worked as a researcher with IBM TJ Watson in the US. She completed her Ph.D. at Harvard University, her MS at the University of Southern California, and her B.Tech in EE at IIT-D.
In 2014, Meeta started developing the concepts for Shumee and made contact with a few producers. The firm was incorporated in 2015, however, due to certain initial obstacles, it didn’t begin operations until 2016.
Shumee, Curly, and Shirley are a few cartoon characters that Meeta and her team have developed to symbolize the company and young people worldwide. On the company’s social media channels, the characters make brief comic strip appearances and ask questions while going on adventures.

Meeta’s goal is to establish Shumee as the go-to spot for all of a baby’s requirements, from the time of birth until the child begins playing with toys and beyond. In keeping with our philosophy of providing a simple and natural experience for the child, She wishes to explore Shumee with various eco-friendly natural materials and concepts.
