Making Dates Easy and Practical With Sparkles, Priyanka Sehgal
Priyanka Sehgal is the founder of Sparkles, an AI-powered dating app that helps individuals establish lasting relationships through shared experiences and fosters honest connections.
She is a Columbia Business School alumna and an award-winning media expert from India, having been named one of the country’s Top 50 Digital Marketing Professionals and Top 50 Content Marketing Leaders. She has worked for VP Network18, Times Television Network, and NDTV in the past. She has almost two decades of experience in product, content, and monetization leadership roles. Her inspiration for “Sparkles” came from her attempt to solve a personal problem, which led her on a journey of extensive research across continents to launch the company.
She went on 250 dates with people of various ethnicities to learn about their dating app experiences. These revelations prompted conversations with her Columbia Business School classmates, who gave her the encouragement she needed to continue building and testing Sparkles.
Sparkles is all about dating, relationships, and everything that surrounds them, from fintech to wellness tech. Starting with Singles, Priyanka hopes to establish a new industry at the convergence of social commerce and assisting people in making meaningful connections through Sparkles. Sparkles is the only dating app that allows people who have met and are presently conversing to share or purchase an experience.
Once someone has sparkled with each other, they may communicate, establish a date plan, and the app will suggest shared activities for them to buy at discounted costs, which they can divide or buy individually. Ghosting is improbable if an experience has been paid for. When they get home after their date, the app gives them a Predictive Score that tells them which way their relationship is most likely to go and gives them advice on how to guide it in that direction. Sparkles want to change the way the world dates and interacts by empowering singles to live their truth.
