Corona patients will be discharged from hospital even in Delhi, changes in rules

Patients admitted to hospitals, covid care centers and health centers can also be discharged without examination. The rules for leave of corona patients in Delhi have been changed. However, the central government made this change only last month. Based on the guidelines of the Union Health Ministry, it has now been implemented in the capital as well.

According to this, the patient will be sent home for ten days after the onset of symptoms and three days after the fever ends. The patient will be quarantined at home for seven days. During this time, if any kind of symptoms occur again, the doctor will examine them. 

Principal Secretary of Health Department issued orders

Principal Secretary of Health Department, Vikram Dev Dutt has instructed the Directors and Medical Superintendents of all hospitals to make changes in the rules of leave of patients as per the instructions of the Union Ministry of Health. Under this, patients admitted with mild symptoms in Covid Care Center or Health Center do not need to be tested before being discharged. If the fever has not come for three days and the symptoms have been ten days, then such patients should be discharged.

Earlier, the  report  was on negative leave

Earlier, patients were examined for corona and they were discharged only after the report came negative. At the same time, patients who have been admitted to the hospital or Covid Center due to need of oxygen, if they do not need oxygen for three days and their body has oxygen level more than 95, then they can also be discharged without testing.

It also has to be seen whether they are having fever or difficulty in breathing. They will also have to remain quarantined in the house for seven days. In case of any symptoms, a helpline for Corona will be contacted. After this, the doctor will test them again through tele-conferencing. After this steps will be taken as per the need. Only the most serious patients need to undergo corona examination before being discharged. After their report comes negative they will be sent home from the hospital.
