Ban on international flight extended till 31 July, DGCA verdict

Due to the ever increasing corona infection cases, the government has decided to extend the ban on international flights till 31 July.

The ban on international passenger flight service has been extended till 31 July amid growing cases of corona virus. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a notification on Friday by issuing a notification. However, along with this the DGCA has also indicated the introduction of airlines on select international routes in the coming days.

“Some flights may be allowed on select airways depending on individual cases,” it says in the notification. Earlier, international passenger flights were suspended till 15 July.

Ban on international passenger flights from 23 March

Let us tell you that due to Corona virus epidemic, India has banned international passenger flights from 23 March. Along with this, domestic airlines were also closed. But domestic flights have been started from May 25. Detail guidelines related to Corona were also released for this flight services.

The fourth phase of the Vande Bharat Mission has started amidst the DGCA’s decision on international flight. Under this mission, Indians stranded abroad are being brought from Air India flights. The central government started the Vande Bharat Mission from 6 May.

Despite all the efforts of the government, Corona cases are increasing rapidly in India. Currently Corona cases have crossed the 6 lakh mark. At the same time, the number of people who died from this virus has also exceeded 18 thousand. This increase is happening at a time when the country has entered Unlock-2. Many economic activities are exempted in Unlock-2.
