Australian All-rounder celebrity, Sophie Monk
Making her debut at a very small age, Sophie Charlene Allan’s Monk aka Sophie Monk is one of the most multi-talented personalities of Australia. She is a singer, an actress and a model.
Born in London and raised in Gold Coast, Australia, Sophie was into singing and music from her school and college days. She was a trained opera singer.
She got into professional singing in 1999 at just the age of 20, as a singer and a dancer in an Australian reality show advertisement. The show was named Popstars, and the motive of that TV show was to create a girls band, which was later on named as Bardot.
As a part of the Bardot band, Sophie got into limelight and was part of some of the never forgettable albums such as Poison and she was also the part of chartbuster single like These Days. She took the band to great heights by performing with the band at ARIA awards in 2000.
After, the band got decomposed, Sophie also worked as a solo artist with some of the renowned names of the industries.
Her debut song, Inside Outside in 2002 was produced by Rob Davis, who was a Grammy Winner Producer. After the success of her debut single, she went on to produce some memorable songs such as Get The Music on, One Breath Away and her hit solo album, Calendar Girls. All these of her creations were among the ARIA Albums Chart and Singles Chart.
Along with singing, producing and writing works, she has also acted in many famous movies and TV shows. She made her acting debut in 2004 with the Australian TV show The Mystery of Natalie Wood. After that she was seen in several other movies like Click, Murder Wood, Spring Break’83, Date movie.
Her first Hollywood role was in an American TV show Entourage. She has also appeared in Warner Bros movie Spring Breakdown in 2006.
Sophie has also been seen on many magazine covers like Maxim, FHN, Stuff and others. Between the period of 2000-2012, she has been regularly in the FHM’s 100 sexiest women list.
