Shuddhi Ayurveda Acharya Manish

With roots dating back 5,000 years, Ayurveda is India’s ancient alternative medicine system that emphasizes holistic well-being by balancing mind, body, and soul. While renowned for its preventative and curative qualities, Ayurveda still faces scientific scepticism due to insufficient evidence, as stated by the National Centre for Biotechnology (NCBI). Acharya Manish, also known as Guru Manish Ji, Founder of Shuddhi Ayurveda, laments that Ayurveda practices often lag within their own homeland due to outdated laws. Such regulations, like the 1897 Epidemic Act and the 1954 Magic Remedy Act, impede practitioners from discussing ground-breaking treatments for various ailments.

Through 160 Ayurvedic clinics across India, two super-speciality hospitals in Chandigarh and New Delhi, and an Ayurveda school, he strives to make holistic healing accessible to all. In the financial year 2019-20, Shuddhi Ayurveda achieved a turnover of Rs 95 crore, according to Registrar of Companies (RoC) filings.

A Transformative Journey: From Illness to Holistic Healing

Guru Manish Ji’s journey into Ayurveda began as a teenager afflicted by persistent fever, cough, and cold. Seeking relief, he consulted various doctors and astrologers but found no solution. In 1995, a visit to his uncle’s Ayurvedic clinic in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, became a turning point. Traditional Ayurvedic concoctions and medicines led to his remarkable recovery. Recognizing the limitations of allopathic medicine in suppressing symptoms without providing a lasting cure, Guru Manish Ji was inspired to explore Ayurveda further.

Deepening his knowledge through the study of Charak Samhita and other Ayurvedic texts, Guru Manish Ji immersed himself in the ancient science. By 2013, his passion for Ayurveda culminated in the establishment of his own brand, Divya Upchar. Later renamed Shuddhi Ayurveda in 2019 due to trademark conflicts, the brand quickly gained recognition.

Cultivating a Brand and Vision

Shuddhi Ayurveda, launched in 2019, offers over 250 products manufactured in collaboration with third-party facilities in Rajasthan. Guru Manish Ji began with a modest investment, leveraging the support of his close associates. The brand operates 160 clinics manned by 250 Ayurvedic doctors, 15 dieticians, and 15 BHMS doctors. Serving approximately 11,000 patients each month across India, these clinics underscore Shuddhi Ayurveda’s commitment to holistic healing.

The brand’s over 300 medicinal formulations include packages tailored to specific health concerns such as cancer, diabetes, and body detoxification. From cancer patients to yoga enthusiasts, Shuddhi Ayurveda offers a diverse range of solutions to support well-being. Products are accessible online through the company’s website and Amazon.

Facing Challenges and Charting the Future:

As the Indian Ayurveda market continues to grow, Guru Manish Ji acknowledges unique challenges. While Ayurveda is gaining acceptance, many individuals still prefer allopathic remedies due to entrenched biases. Shuddhi Ayurveda, however, distinguishes itself by integrating scientific practices into its clinics and treatments, offering a holistic approach to health.

Guru Manish Ji is committed to dispelling misconceptions surrounding Ayurveda through awareness campaigns on television. He acknowledges the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has prompted individuals to explore Ayurvedic remedies for immunity support. Although trust in Ayurveda remains gradual, he emphasizes its potential to complement traditional healthcare approaches.

Shuddhi Ayurveda’s expansion plans include opening 40 additional clinics while fostering research and international growth. With a unique focus on scientific practices and holistic well-being, Guru Manish Ji’s Shuddhi Ayurveda aims to position itself as a leading force in India’s growing Ayurveda market.
