A Banker turned into a Psychologist and then an Entrepreneur who founded Lightroom Therapy
Garima Juneja is the founder of Lightroom Therapy, a mental health firm based in Chandigarh that offers online counseling to patients. The firm, which was founded during the pandemic, aims to assist people with mental health issues.
From an achievement-oriented banker to a passionate psychologist, she has had a well-rounded career curve, affecting lives and seeking to make them worthwhile by artfully interweaving optimism, the right direction of ideas, and purpose.
Garima was an ICICI Bank banker, realized she was one of the fortunate few who had the freedom and option to leave her work, so she did. Her interest in Psychology, on the other hand, remained constant.
Garima was inspired to turn her passion into a career, so she earned an MA in Psychology and studied a variety of treatment courses, including Gottman Couple Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and many others. She trained and counseled as a psychologist for over six years.
And it was because of this that a psychologist founded Lightroom Therapy, a mental health firm. After being in the midst of dark and difficult times, she dubbed her therapy and counseling services ‘Lightroom’ as a metaphor for bringing light into her patients’ life.
Garima believes that women are the foundation of any society and that when they thrive, the entire nation thrives. Her counsel to them is to pursue their dreams and work hard to make them a reality. She believes that one should be resilient because ups and downs are a part of life, and that one should never give up because patience pays off in the end.
