Bajaj Urbanite is expected to be launched in India on 16 October. In many reports, it is being claimed that the first electric scooter of Bajaj will be named Urbanite. However, till now the major automobile manufacturer has not confirmed this. However, it is more likely that Bajaj can declare the Urbanite as a sub-brand of automaker electric vehicle.

According to media reports, several months before the launch, Bajaj started testing by taking off his electric scooter on the roads. Although it is kept confidential. It can be offered in Neo-Retro design. There is also a possibility that split seats can be given to Bajaj’s e-scooter like Chetak scooter. The Urbanite electric scooter will likely include an LED headlight unit with LED DRLS, LED indicator and black alloy wheels.

It is believed that in addition to giving readout for TFT color screen, console speed, trip meter, battery range, charge, etc. as an instrument panel of Bajaj Urbanite, Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation can also be given.

It is hoped that it can travel 80 to 100 km once charged. Its top-speed is expected to be 60 to 80 km per hour. Bajaj’s first electric scooter can be priced at around one lakh (ex-showroom).
