Auto companies relieved in Unlock-1, Maruti sold more than 57 thousand cars

Several big auto companies including Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have released sales figures in the month of June.

However, after June 8, the economic activities in the country have been gradually resumed, due to which the sales of companies are improving. Several big auto companies including Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have released sales figures in the month of June.

Maruti Suzuki

The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has sold a total of 57,428 cars in June. However, there has been a decline of about 54 percent in sales as compared to a year ago. Please tell that Maruti Suzuki had sold 1,24,708 units in June last year.

In June, Maruti’s small cars like Alto and WagonR sold 10,458 units, similarly the compact models like Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, and Dzire sold 26,696 units. Sales of the sedan Ciaz stood at 553 units last month.

Hyundai Motor India

If you talk about Hyundai, 26820 vehicles have been sold in June. According to the statement issued by the company, Hyundai sold 21,320 vehicles in the domestic market in June. With this, 5500 vehicles were exported to different countries.

Toyota Kirloskar

Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s domestic sales fell 63.53 percent to 3,866 vehicles in June. Sales of the company were 10,603 units in June last year. In May this year, the company sold 1,639 vehicles.

From this perspective, more than double the sales have been done in June. The company did not export any in June 2020. While in June 2019, it exported 804 Etios cars.

Escorts Limited

Agricultural equipment and engineering sector company Escorts Ltd’s total sales of tractors rose 21.1 percent to 10,851 units in June. Escorts said that it had sold 8,960 units in the same month last year. The company said that domestic tractor sales stood at 10,623 units in June, compared to 8,648 units in the year-ago period.
