Sunil Kalra’s journey as an investor is shaped by both experience and geography. With investments spanning Israel, Singapore, and the United States, he brings a global perspective to the startups he backs.

Currently serving as a Venture Partner at Stride Ventures and Managing Director at ViaProjects, Kalra has been actively involved in supporting early-stage companies—not just with capital, but with mentorship as well. His association with the Indian Angel Network further strengthens his connection to the startup ecosystem.

With around 18 investments and a few successful exits, his portfolio includes companies like Exclusively.in, Jigsee, and Hasti Dry Port. Several of these ventures have gone on to be acquired, reflecting his ability to spot opportunities early.

Kalra typically focuses on sectors like technology, healthcare, and finance—areas that continue to evolve and offer long-term growth potential. But beyond sectors, his approach seems rooted in identifying businesses that can scale across markets.

What stands out is his cross-border mindset. Having exposure to multiple ecosystems allows him to evaluate startups not just for local success, but for their ability to expand globally.

He also plays a hands-on role as a mentor, working closely with founders during their early stages. This involvement often goes beyond strategy, extending into helping them navigate growth challenges and investor relationships.

Sunil Kalra’s journey reflects a balanced approach to investing—combining global exposure with early-stage conviction.

Because in today’s startup world, thinking beyond borders is no longer optional—it’s essential.
