Binny Bansal is best known as the co-founder of Flipkart, one of India’s earliest and most influential e-commerce platforms. But in recent years, his focus has shifted from building companies to helping others scale them.

Today, as Co-founder and Executive Chairman of xto10x Technologies, Bansal works closely with startups on strategy, finance, and talent—areas that often determine whether a company can grow beyond its early success. His approach is rooted in experience, having built Flipkart from the ground up in a market that was still figuring out online commerce.

Alongside this, he has become an active investor. Through his role as an angel investor and as an anchor investor at 021 Capital, Bansal has backed close to 90 startups across sectors like consumer internet, fintech, health tech, and AI-driven platforms. His portfolio includes companies such as CureFit, Ather, Inshorts, Acko, and Rupeek—businesses that reflect a mix of consumer focus and long-term scalability.

What stands out in Bansal’s investment style is his emphasis on execution at scale. He tends to back founders who are not just solving a problem, but are thinking about how to build systems, teams, and processes that can handle rapid growth.

His involvement often goes beyond funding. With xto10x, he actively supports startups in navigating challenges around hiring, organisational structure, and financial discipline—areas where many early-stage companies struggle.

Bansal’s journey reflects a natural evolution—from entrepreneur to enabler. Having seen what it takes to build a category-defining company, he now channels that insight into helping the next generation do the same.

Because building a startup is one thing—but scaling it is where the real challenge begins.
