An important meeting of the Union Cabinet was held on Wednesday under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many important decisions were taken in this meeting. PM Modi described the cabinet decisions as historic and said that crores of Indians will benefit from the decision.

Decisions were taken in this meeting to improve the space sector, supervise the co-operative bank, approve Kushinagar International Airport, and give 2% interest rebate on Shishu Loan. Let us know what important decisions the Union Cabinet has taken.

1- Co-operative bank now under RBI supervision

Now all the co-operative banks (urban co-operative banks or multi-state co-operative banks) will come under the supervision of the Reserve Bank. At present, there are 1482 urban co-operative banks and 58 multi-state co-operative banks in the country. The government says that after these banks come under the supervision of RBI, more than 8.6 crore depositors will get confidence. It will be assured that their deposits in banks are safe 4.84 lakh crore rupees.

2- 2% interest rebate on Shishu Mudra Loan

The Modi government has given relief to the holders of Shishu Mudra Loan. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the 2% interest rebate on this loan. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this as part of the 20 lakh crore relief package. Describing the decision of the cabinet, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, “The cabinet has approved the proposal to give 2 percent interest rebate on Mudra’s baby loan. Millions of beneficiaries will now get 2 percent interest rebate.

Taking a big decision regarding the space world, the Narendra Modi government has announced the opening of India’s space sector for students and private companies. Approved far-reaching reforms in the space sector, with the aim of promoting private sector participation in all areas of space activities.

4- Kushinagar International Airport approved

The Union Cabinet has approved the declaration of Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar Airport as an international airport. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that this decision will make it easier for followers of Buddhism living abroad to come to Kushinagar. He said that many followers from countries like Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka want to come here. Kushinagar is the Nirvana site of Mahatma Buddha, so it will now be developed as an international airport.

5- Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its approval for the establishment of the Rs 15,000 crore Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF). The PM said that this will boost the income of our hardworking farmers. Also there will be an incentive for investment and regional infrastructure especially in dairies.
