How Hostinger’s Abuse Policy Crippled IDigitalAKKI Media and Caused Financial Loss
New Delhi, India – IDigitalAKKI Media, a legally registered business under the Indian Companies Act, has reported severe financial and operational damages following the sudden suspension of its domains by global hosting provider Hostinger.
According to company representatives, the domains idigitalakki.co.in and idigitalakki.com were suspended without prior notice under allegations of “fraud” IDigitalAKKI Media has strongly denied the claims, stating that their consultancy services only help clients navigate Wikipedia’s publicly available guidelines and that they have never claimed official affiliation with Wikipedia or the Wikimedia Foundation.
The company further explained that it immediately complied with Hostinger’s request for documents, submitting the Aadhaar ID of its Director, Aakash Kumar Jha, along with the Certificate of Incorporation (COI) and official registered address proof. Despite this, the suspension has lasted more than 72 hours without resolution.
The impact of the suspension has been described as “catastrophic.” With company emails linked to the suspended domains, IDigitalAKKI Media has been unable to communicate with clients. More critically, its bank accounts and financial services tied to those emails have been disrupted, creating what the company calls a “serious financial and security risk.” Client projects have stalled, reputation has been damaged, and the business reports significant ongoing losses.
Industry experts note that the root of the issue appears to be Hostinger’s Abuse Handling Policy, which allows for immediate suspension of domains upon receiving an abuse report. While Hostinger maintains that such steps are necessary to protect the internet space, critics argue that the “suspend first, investigate later” approach is damaging legitimate businesses.
“Hostinger markets itself as affordable and customer-centric, but this incident shows how easily a business can be paralyzed without due process,” said one industry observer. “A responsible hosting provider should ask for verification documents first, rather than suspending services and leaving companies in limbo.”
IDigitalAKKI Media is now demanding accountability, asking Hostinger to explain:
- Why the company was not contacted before suspension,
- Why services remain down even after verified documents were submitted,
- And who will be held responsible for the financial and reputational loss.
The incident has sparked discussions in the digital business community about the risks of relying on hosting providers with rigid abuse policies. Unless Hostinger revises its approach, more businesses may face sudden disruptions that threaten their survival.
For IDigitalAKKI Media, the suspension has already taken a toll. As the company puts it, “Every day of downtime translates into measurable financial loss. Hostinger’s policies have failed us, and they must take responsibility.”
