Mugdha Kalra, An Autism Activist, Journalist, Media Expert

Mugdha Kalra is an Indian content strategist and media expert with more than 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism. As a mother, wife, broadcast journalist, chief content officer, corporate trainer, and advocate for autism, Mugdha Kalra wears many jobs.
She focuses on gender narratives, business journalism, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is a co-founder of Not That Different, a youth-led organization that aims to engage “neurodiversity” and comprehend it while also educating parents on how to raise autistic children.
Her comic book, “Not That Different,” which explores neurodiversity, was inspired by a movement of the same name that she established in partnership with the Bookosmia platform for kid-led creativity. The objective was to encourage kids to appreciate neurodiversity and Being the mother of a kid with autism, Mugdha has firsthand experience with the difficulties of providing for a weak person.
Working with parents and discussing prospects for PwDs with them—such as how to apply for a job or what it entails—represents a significant portion of Mugdha’s current work. Along with philanthropist and businesswoman Malala Yousafzai, she has been recognised by the BBC as one of the top 100 most inspirational and influential women in the world for the year 2021. She is one of the few people in the nation who is now focusing on the inclusion of people with disabilities as a corporate trainer and writer on diversity and inclusion. Additionally, Mugdha is a licensed mindfulness coach.
