Founder and CEO of India’s First Women-Led Organic Food Brand-Naario, Anamika Pandey

Anamika Pandey is the Founder and CEO at Naario which is India’s first women-led and women-run natural and organic food products brand. The first women-led food company in India, Naario, sells natural and organic goods that were all invented by housewives.

Anamika learned there was a significant gender gap because she spent the majority of her youth moving between Gorakhpur and Lucknow. She was the family’s first female graduate to travel outside the metropolis. She worked for BigBasket following her graduation from NIT Warangal before opting to found Naario.

Anamika created a tiny Facebook group created to meet other like-minded women, some of whom turned out to be extremely business-savvy. They developed a business plan where certain women who have a real passion for food introduce their food products under the brand Naario, while other women who enjoy the rush of running a business are in charge of distribution in their various regions. All of them link their artistic abilities to their financial freedom.

Anamika’s aim is to tie women’s creative talents to their desire for identity and financial independence. In the future, with Naario, Anamika wants to increase the number of product categories they offer, their geographic reach, and their presence so they can be available when and where their customers choose to purchase Naario.
