The tension on the India and China border has increased since the month of May. On Monday night, violent clashes took place between India and Chinese troops near Galvan Valley. In this incident, a total of 20 soldiers of India were martyred, after which the relationship between the two countries has once again soured. There is still a dialogue going on at the military level, but no concrete solution seems to be coming out.
Meanwhile, the place where the clash took place in the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is quite rare. The area where the clash took place is near the Galvan River. In the map given below, where the top of the hills is, the soldiers of both the countries came face to face. Chinese soldiers had camped near 200 meters of the peak and were not ready to return.
When the soldiers of the Indian Army reached there, the soldiers of both countries clashed. During this time there was a scuffle, barbed wire poles struck each other. Meanwhile, many soldiers were seriously injured and many soldiers on both sides fell into the Galvan River.
How did the clashes between the soldiers of both the countries?
– On the Line of Actual Control (LAC), it was decided that on June 15, the Chinese army mobilization on the outskirts would be reduced. The Chinese army will return to its territory in Galvan region.
– Indian Army team led by Colonel Santosh Babu went to negotiate with Chinese side. The Chinese army did not appear to be in a mood to retreat during the discussion.
– There was a clash on both sides for about 3 hours. In this scuffle, Commanding Officer Santosh Babu suffered serious injuries. After the skirmish started, a second team of Indian soldiers reached the spot and then the army responded to this deception of China.
According to the official statement of the Indian Army, a total of 20 soldiers of India have died in this skirmish. While the news agency ANI says that 43 Chinese soldiers have died in this incident. However, no such official confirmation has been made by China.
Let us tell you that there is a dispute between India and China on the Ladakh border since the beginning of May. The Chinese army crossed the fixed LAC and deployed thousands of soldiers, besides setting up many weapons and camps. After which India also increased the deployment of soldiers.
