Transforming Indian Elementary Education With Lido Learning, Sahil Sheth
Sahil Sheth is the founder of Lido Learning, India’s premier Small Group Tuitions platform, which offers classes in Math, Science, English, and Coding for students in kindergarten through grade twelve. Cutting-edge animated video content and gamified learning taught by India’s top 5% tutors are part of the Lido experience.
After graduating from Duke University, Sahil Sheth worked at Towers Watson as an actuary. Sheth’s talent for an analytically focused perspective on business and education was honed here. Sheth then went on to start Infinite Student, a company that provides students with curriculum materials via an app, disrupting the textbook sector. Byju’s purchased Infinite Students as a result of its success. Sheth then moved on to work as the Vice President of Byju’s.
During his time at Byjus, Sahil discovered that, while children enjoyed watching self-paced videos, they preferred the real-time interaction and exchange of ideas with friends and classmates that can only be had during small group, face-to-face, live tuition lessons.
Lido Learning was founded with one clear goal in mind: to disrupt the traditional small group tuition class market by providing tech-enabled learning tools to tutors and world-class education to all students, allowing them to achieve their full potential in school and beyond. Sheth has exponentially developed Lido, but his main focus has remained on expanding Lido’s capacity to provide students with an analytically driven thorough education.
Lido Learning aspires to make education an online and immersive experience while retaining the traditional feel of tuition, in which friends attend lessons together. Sheth believed that because of Lido’s small class sizes, each student would receive the attention they deserved. Sheth believes that using an analytical approach to testing and doing daily exercises will help students comprehend the little aspects that can help them improve their marks and increase their interest.
