Ghazal Alagh is a well-known Indian entrepreneur and the founder of MamaEarth, an all-natural beauty brand driven by the desire to make early parenting stress-free.
She completed her graduation from the New York Academy of Arts with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Intensive Courses in Modern Art, Design, and Applied Arts. Ghazal began her career with NIIT as a Corporate Trainer, where she taught SQL, J2ME, and Oracle to managers and engineers from various IT businesses.
Ghazal had wanted to be a businesswoman since she was a child, which was fortunate because her parents encouraged her. When Ghazal became a mother and struggled to locate chemical-free baby items, she conceived the idea for a 100 percent toxin-free baby products firm.
And, having started off creating child care goods, the company is now storming the market with a line of natural beauty care products based on old Indian mythology and other natural ingredients. Ghazal is responsible for product development and community management at Mamaearth, India’s first toxin-free baby care business. She collaborates with a broad group of mothers to create a product line that solves issues that mothers experience on a daily basis.
