The Reel Life Sita: Debina Banerjee

Debina Banerjee, the girl who played the very famous role of Sita in Ramayan (2008). She was born on 18th April 1983 in Kolkata West Bengal. She did her schooling from Sri Aurobindo Institute of Education, Kolkata and her further studies from Gokhale Memorial Girl’s College. She has acted in various languages such as Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil. In 2009, she along with Gurmeet Choudhary ( her husband ), participated in the reality TV show “Pati Patni Aur Woh”.

She made her debut in films with “Indian Babu” (2003). She has worked in a few films which are Ammayilu Abbayilu, Nanjundi, Perarasu (2006), Six (2013) and Khamoshiyan (2015).

She made her debut in serials in 2005 with “Mayavi”. She has worked in other serials as well some of them are -Ramayan which got her all the name and fame and that was the show where she got her life partner in the form of her co-star, Gurmeet Chaudhary who was paired opposite her as Lord Ram. After that, she acted indifferent India Tv shows such as Pati Patni Aur Woh in 2009, Aahat, Chidiya Ghar which was aired on Sab TV playing the role of Mayuri and was one of the famous comedy show on that channel after the all-time favourite Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chasmah. Then she also took part in the reality show Fear Factor: Khatron k Khiladi, season 5 and also took part in the couple dance reality show Nach Baliye with Gurmeet Chaudhary. She was also part of The Kapil Sharma show in 2004 for a few episodes. Recently she was seen in the show Aladdin: Naam To Suna Hi Hoga.

She was in stories in the lockdown time because she along with her husband was tested positive for coronavirus but the famous actress came back from it strongly and resumed her shooting.
