Taran Chhabra, Founder and CEO of Neeman
Taran Chhabra is the founder and CEO of Neeman, a company that has wreaked havoc on the Indian footwear market. Neeman’s is India’s first shoe brand to use merino wool, a natural, renewable, and sustainable fiber. This Hyderabad-based firm, which was formed in 2017, aims to produce attractive, comfy, and environmentally sustainable shoes. All day, every day, Neeman’s is committed to creating extremely comfortable footwear that looks good, feels well, and is good for the environment. Indian shoes made of Merino Wool have been introduced by the firm.
His journey from a corporate leader in Business Analytics to an entrepreneur is full of adventure, danger, and self-discovery. Neeman’s is no exception to the rule that “necessity is the mother of all inventions.” Taran was leading the corporate grind at large pharma and life sciences businesses and was essential in their success thanks to his business analytical talents long before he earned a name for himself in the shoe industry.
Anicut Angel Fund, the equity arm of Anicut Capital, had provided the firm with its most recent round of funding last year. Tushar Singh and Rohit Anand of Anicut Capital spearheaded the deal, with Ashvin Chadha, partner at Anicut Capital, also participating. Sixth Sense Ventures has announced that Neeman’s, an eco-friendly footwear firm, has raised Rs 20 crore (roughly $2.7 million) in a Series-A round of funding.
