Rohit Gajbhiye is the founder of Financepeer, a Google-backed and RBI-regulated NBFC that specializes in school Fee Financing. It allows educational institutions to better manage their budgets by paying a student’s complete year’s fees up front, with the option for parents to pay back in easy EMIs. It’s a one-of-a-kind peer-to-peer lending platform that uses a highly secure, digital medium to meet the financial needs of self-employed, entrepreneurs, and salaried persons.

Rohit is a Stanford Ignite and IIT Bombay alumnus. He is a member of the UNGSII and the World Economic Forum, as well as a talented FinTech specialist who formerly worked in the Consumer Credit Space at DBS Bank in Singapore. He has worked in Credit Risk, Commercial Banking, Liquidity Risk, and other related areas.

Rohit founded Financepeer in 2017 with the goal of assisting parents in the middle and lower segments of the pyramid in providing great education to their children without having to worry about the cost via a zero-interest and zero-cost charge financing solution. It has aided more than 750,000 students in India across more than 500 schools, with the goal of assisting 2.5 million kids from 1,800 schools by the end of the year.
Financepeer’s funding strategy serves as a facilitator for both schools and parents. The burden on parents will be minimized because they would not have to pay a lump sum upfront but rather in monthly installments with no interest, and schools will be able to collect the charge immediately.

Forbes magazine’s list of the world’s 30 under 30 Asians for 2020 included the company. Rohit is one of 30 entrepreneurs from around the world to get this honor.
