T-series removes Pakistani singer-song from YouTube after MNS warning
T-Series said- The song which is being said to be uploaded by Atif Aslam was uploaded on YouTube accidentally by one of our employees.
T-Series on Wednesday removed the song of Pakistani singer Atif Aslam from its YouTube channel. The music company has taken this decision after opposition from the political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). The T-series on Saturday released the Atif Aslam Wala version of the song ‘Kinna Sona’ from the film Marjawan on its YouTube channel.
However, after this, Amase Khopkar, president of MNS’s Chitrapat Sena, warned the production house to take a big action if the video is not removed. In a letter written in the name of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, the T-series has stated in its explanation that the song was uploaded on YouTube by mistake.
WARNING TO TSERIES
Take down Pakistani singer Atif-Aslam song from your TSeries youtube channel immediately else we will take a major action against @TSeries. #TakeDownAtifAslamSong @itsbhushankumar @mnsadhikrut @rajupatilmanase— Ameya Khopkar (@MNSAmeyaKhopkar) June 23, 2020
Will not promote the song
“We assure you that this song will not be released on our platform nor will we promote it. We are removing this song and assure you that we will not assist any Pakistani artist.” It is known that since the Pulwama attack, MNS has been insisting that no music company will work with any Pakistani singer.
