Saket Modi, Founder & CEO of Safe Security
Saket Modi is entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Safe Security, a Palo Alto, California-based corporation that quantifies risks associated with digital businesses and cybersecurity.
Modi was born and raised in Kolkata, India In the computer lab at school, where Modi frequently found himself, he discovered that he could access the chemistry exam questions kept in a password-protected file through Brute Force. He earned his undergraduate engineering degree with a computer science emphasis from the LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur, in 2012. Saket led multiple practical seminars on ethical hacking while still an undergraduate at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) campuses all around India.
In 2012, when Saket was in his final year of engineering, he started Safe Security. With its SAFE cyber risk measuring and mitigation platform, Safe Security, which was founded at IIT Bombay with support from former Cisco Chairman and CEO John Chambers, safeguards the digital infrastructure of numerous Fortune 500 firms around the globe.
The first location of Lucideus was established in New Delhi in 2013. The business was well-known for performing a security assessment of BHIM, a National Payments Corporation of India-created mobile payment platform that is Aadhaar-based.
He had a great love for the piano and music, and he draws a parallel between his passion for math and music. Saket is included in a number of lists, including Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30, Entrepreneur Magazine’s 35 under 35, and Fortune Magazine’s 40under40. In 2017, the Indian government bestowed upon him the title of “Champion of Change.”
