Road 2 never offered to Sushant Singh, Mahesh Bhatt gave a statement to the police

Mahesh Bhatt said that he had never offered the lead role of Road 2 to Sushant. Rather, Sushant had said that if there is a role worthy of him in Road 2, he would like to work in this film.

In the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide, the Mumbai Police is engaged in questioning the big celebs and directors of Bollywood. On Monday, the statement of director Mahesh Bhatt was recorded at the police station in Santa Cruz. In his statement, Mahesh said that he did not offer Sushant a film for Road 2.

Mahesh Bhatt said that he had never offered the lead role of Road 2 to Sushant. Rather, Sushant had told him that if there was a role worthy of him in Road 2, he would like to work in this film. Road 2 was always made by keeping Sanjay Dutt in the lead role as this film is a sequel to the road.

Mahesh met twice with Sushant

Mahesh Bhatt also told in his statement that he had met Sushant Singh Rajput only twice. For the first time in 2018, when Sushant came to meet him and second time in February this year, when he was ill, Mahesh Bhatt went to meet him at his Bandra house. Bhatt said that Sushant met him and both of them had talked about Mahesh’s YouTube channel, his written book and other studies. He also said that there was no professional or work related conversation between him and Sushant.

It is known that Sushant Singh Rajput hanged himself in his Mumbai apartment on 14 June. Police had said that they were suffering from depression. However, no one knows why he took such a big step.
