Millions of migrant laborers have returned to their homes in the lockdown implemented due to Corona virus. These workers face a job crisis. To overcome this crisis, the central government has started a campaign called Garib Kalyan Rojgar.

The story of the idea of this scheme is very interesting. Actually, the idea of this scheme has come due to laborers living in a school in Unnao. Launching the scheme, PM Modi explained it in detail.

Got ideas from Unnao’s school

Referring to an incident of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, he said, “The workers of South India were kept in a quarantine center of Unnao, these workers were skilled in dyeing paint. These laborers changed the color of the school by painting the color of the Quarantine Center. “PM Modi further said that when I saw this news in the media, I decided to start a poor welfare employment campaign.

With this, PM Modi said that you think, how much talent has come back to your village these days. When the labor and skills that give speed and progress to every city of the country will be put in the rural areas, then this will also speed up the development of the state.

Campaign will be run in 116 districts

PM Modi said that this campaign will be carried out vigorously in 116 districts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Under the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan, for the development of your villages, 50 thousand crore rupees have to be spent to give you employment. With this amount, about 25 work areas have been identified for employment in villages and for development works.
