PM Modi decides to withdraw from Weibo, delete post and reply to China

India is hurting the dragon on the economic front after the handiwork of China in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh. After banning 59 Chinese apps, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also decided to withdraw from China’s social media platform Weibo. PM Modi was associated with Weibo in the year 2015. According to news agency ANI, PM Modi has taken this decision after banning 59 apps in China.
ANI quoted sources as saying that the process of deleting a VIP account is complicated. However, the official process to delete the account has been started. There is a long delay in allowing it from China and the reason has not been given. PM Modi has posted 115 on this and 113 of them have been removed.

On Wednesday, other information including his profile photo was removed from PM Modi’s Weibo account. PM Modi’s account was created in 2015 during his first visit to China as Prime Minister. The PM has been giving messages on India-China relations, especially after his meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The posts on the Prime Minister’s Weibo account were in Chinese language.

At the same time, India is now preparing to ban Chinese companies in all highway projects. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari gave this information. Chinese companies will also not be allowed to work as joint venture partners (JVs). Earlier, Chinese companies were thrown out of several railway contracts.
