Making India Proud by getting appointed as the first female CEO of DB Schenker India for the entire subcontinent, Kinjal Pande
The transport and logistics subsidiary of the €44.43 billion Deutsche Bahn Group, DB Schenker India, appointed Kinjal Pande as its first female CEO for India and the subcontinent. She will be advancing supply chain solutions for both current and potential clients, including freight forwarding, contract logistics, container shipping, rail and air transportation, and infrastructure development.
With a successful background in transport and logistics and more than 19 years of cross-functional experience in the logistics sector, Kinjal has expertise in sales, pricing, commercial strategy, operations, finance, and profit and loss.
She is honoured to be a part of DB Schenker, one of the top businesses in the global and Indian logistics sector and she hopes to help them enhance their position in the market. The new hire is a part of a recent leadership restructuring intended to assist the business improve its standing in the Asia-Pacific region. At more than 2,100 facilities in more than 130 countries, DB Schenker employs over 74,200 people. The business provides land, air, and ocean transportation services in addition to providing single-source logistics and supply chain management solutions. In 2003 she got placed on campus. She witnessed a change when the firm was acquired by Maersk, one of the largest shipping lines, two years into the position. From a cultural standpoint, it was a very enjoyable organisation. She was then placed in a situation where she wasn’t sure if she would have a job or not, but everything went really nicely. Before joining DB Schenker, she continued to work for AP Moller Maersk for the following 17 years.
