Anup Pai is the founder and the brilliant brain behind eSamudaay, India’s first community commerce platform which hopes to facilitate community commerce across cities and towns in India by utilizing the nation’s entrepreneurial strengths. To encourage entrepreneurship and build an e-commerce network between vendors and buyers in smaller towns without the top-down strategy of a big firm, the technology platform is comparable to a plug-and-play system.

As India prepares to realize its goal of becoming Aatmanirbhar, it is essential to ensure self-sufficiency to meet local demand. Small businesses are starting to understand the power of technology and how going digital will affect their sales and marketing in the modern world. Anup Pai founded eSamudaay in July 2020 in order to make it as simple as possible for local communities to profit from digital solutions, allowing for the growth and development of their own e-commerce and network infrastructure.

Prior to that, he launched Fintellix, which created analytics-based compliance and risk management software for banks and other financial organizations. The business, which has offices in both India and the United States, provided services to major banks like BoA, Citibank, BNP Paribas, ICICI, and HDFC. Anup left Fintellix in 2019 and has since invested in and mentored entrepreneurs, focusing on those that are establishing their companies using decentralized digital technology.

Anup centered much of his attention on centralization, but there was a trend toward decentralization that allowed the lesser players to benefit from technology. In order to help people create their own enterprises using its technological platform, eSamudaay was established.

The startup’s platform is initially being used to provide local communities with ecommerce apps.

The Bengaluru-based firm claims to be adding about 10 dealers per week and is already operating in the Karnataka town of Udupi, which is known for its temple.
