Instant Pan Card, Check out now how to get it
To get a PAN card, you no longer need to fill a lengthy application form. If you have not yet made your PAN card, then you can make PAN card only through Aadhaar number. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has recently introduced this facility. Under this, an immediate PAN (Permanent Account Number) is issued through Aadhaar based e-KYC. People having valid Aadhaar card can get their PAN card done in less than ten minutes under this facility. However, for this the mobile number needs to be linked with the Aadhaar number.
The whole process is very simple
If you have an Aadhaar card and you have not yet made a PAN card, then you can take advantage of this new facility. This is a completely free facility. You have to apply for PAN card from income tax website. You will only need to enter a 12-digit Aadhaar number to apply for e-PAN. After this you will receive an OTP on the mobile number. With entering this OTP, you will get an enrollment number.
Step-by-step process to apply for PAN Card
1. Log on to the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department.
2. Click on ‘Instant PAN through Aadhaar’.
3. After this, click on the link of ‘Get New PAN’.
4. Now enter your Aadhaar number and confirm by entering captcha code.
5. You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.

After the PAN card is allotted, you will get the option to download and print it. You will also get a PDF of the PAN card on the registered email id.
Aadhar card must have full date of birth
The thing to note here is that if your Aadhaar card is made much earlier and only the birth year is marked in it, then you will not be able to avail this facility of making PAN card immediately. If you have an Aadhaar card in the old format, then you should get the date of birth updated through the UIDAI website, then apply for e-PAN. Also it is important to remember that people who are over 18 years of age can choose the option of e-PAN.
