Priya Sharma is the founder of Learning Dino, a Bengaluru-based firm that aims to inspire children’s curiosity through activities and educational toys for children aged two to six. The company creates educational materials for children and also serves as an aggregator platform for educational toys for children aged two to six.

She founded Wish and You, a gift registry service where users can construct wish lists by directly adding products from major ecommerce portals like Flipkart, with more than a decade of experience in marketing and advertising.

She established Leaning Dino during the covid lockdown period after realizing as a mother that children have a lot of questions about the world around them. And, throughout her daughter’s virtual schooling, Priya observed that a predetermined set of curriculum, even if it was delivered online, was insufficient to satisfy a child’s natural curiosity. As a result, Learning Dino was founded, first as a Mummaworld Facebook page, and then converted.

The worksheets and activities created by Learning Dino’s in-house teachers and graphic designers are the company’s main goods, including the initial materials Priya created that helped the company attract 90,000 parents to its website. These include worksheets and stories with activities that teach various topics such as counting and color sorting.

The company also acts as a marketplace for over 40 sellers, many of whom are women who are starting their own businesses. The educational toys are carefully chosen to address certain skills such as number recognition, phonics principles, and eye-hand coordination, among others.

While fostering the young brand, Priya is also focusing on establishing a network of parents. She currently oversees over 20 WhatsApp groups with a combined membership of over 4,000 parents, as well as about 5,300 parents on Facebook.
