India rejects China’s claims on Galvan valley, says such efforts are not acceptable

The Indian Foreign Ministry has bluntly told China that China’s claim on LAC is false and such absurd claims are no longer acceptable. These claims do not even correspond to previous conditions. The ministry has said that the situation in Galvan area is historically clear. The Galvan valley has been a part of India and Indian troops used to patrol the area. The Ministry clarified that India has never taken any action beyond the LAC.

Ministry spokesperson Anurag Shrivastava dismissed the claims of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, saying that since early May the Chinese military was disrupting the normal patrolling pattern being carried out by India. This led to talks at the level of commanders to remove the ground impasse. We reject China’s accusations that India was changing the position on the LAC. The world should know that India is maintaining the situation.

The ministry said in its official statement that Indian troops are fully aware of the actual status of LAC in all sectors, including Galvan Valley. The army has been patrolling the area for a long time without incident. In mid-May, the Chinese side tried to violate the LAC at several places in the Western sector, which was properly responded to. China is making wild claims about Galvan Valley, which is contrary to its earlier stand.
