Founder Of Sarjaa, Anjana Arjun

Anjana Arjun is the founder of Sarjaa, a homegrown luxury plant and fruit leather handbag business. Recycled aluminum and organic cotton are also used as additional materials.
In its packaging, Sarjaa uses plantable seed paper that can be used to cultivate plants.
Anjana Arjun just by mistake became a fashion designer. She applied to the LaSalle College of Arts in Singapore since she had always aspired to be a photographer. However, the only course offered was in fashion media and industries, and because it was related to the arts, she believed she would discover her specialty in that field.
Anjana discovered that she wanted to develop something long-lasting and sustainable after studying fashion media and industries at LASALLE College Of The Arts in Singapore and moving to the US to work in the business. Ironically, though, She never intended to begin with bags.
She has always been more interested in clothing, she also notes that while she was studying fashion marketing at Parsons School of Design in New York, she had the opportunity to work with the American companies Proenza Schouler and Eli Tahari, from which she gained a lot of knowledge. In a way, it also sowed the seed for her desire to view fashion in a more profound way.
Anjana debuted her company Sarjaa earlier this year in Hyderabad using apple, cactus, and pineapple skin to produce lovely bags. This was the first step for the young designer in creating a line that is not only modern but also environmentally friendly.
