Alexander Campbell is the founder of Black Snow Capital, a venture capital firm that specialises on gold and China investments. To make investment decisions, it employs the concept of a macroeconomy and data. He’s also the creator of Rose Technologies, a private American software firm that specialises in dealing with and developing tools for managing highly dimensional financial data.

Alexander is a data-driven investor who bases his investment thesis on machine learning and data-driven technologies. Alexander has a BA from McGill University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also has an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He began his career as a prop trader at Lehman Brothers, where he dealt with convertible bonds, commodities, and volatility. In order to invest the firm’s capital in various long/short, stock derivatives, and convertible bond strategies, he identified investments, constructed financial models, and investigated economic trends.
