FAU-G is a completely new action game made in India after the ban on PUBG Mobile. The game was announced on Friday by company co-founder Vishal Gondal and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, along with Bangalore-based publisher Encore Games. At the time, only one poster was revealed and there was no word on the FAU-G game release date. Now, a Reuters report states that FAU-G, less for Fearless and United: Guards, will launch by the end of October.

While many believe that FAU-G was the concept after the ban on PUBG Mobile last week, Gondal said that the game had been in the pipeline for the past few months. “The game was in the works for a few months,” Gondal told Reuters. “In fact, the first level of the game is based on the Galvan Valley.”

The FAU-G game was announced just days after the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Lite and 116 other Chinese-based apps. The hugely popular Battle Royal games have been pulled from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, although they remain playable for those who have already installed the game.

Fau-ji (pronounced Fauji) which means that the soldier aims to capitalize on Indian patriotism by fomenting skirmishes between Indian and Chinese soldiers between their disputed border. The game is a month and a half away from release and we are yet to see what FAU-G looks like in terms of gameplay.
