Enki Toto Is Bridging Infrastructure and Venture Capital in the Age of AI
Enki Toto is working at the intersection of impact investing, infrastructure and cutting-edge technology. As a principal at Salesforce Ventures, she focuses on backing startups that tackle global challenges—particularly in areas like education and healthcare—through the firm’s Impact Fund.
In 2025, she played a key role in evaluating one of the more complex deals in the AI ecosystem: Crusoe, an AI infrastructure and cloud computing company valued at over $10 billion. Her contribution went beyond standard venture diligence.
Unlike typical SaaS investments, Crusoe operates at the crossroads of energy infrastructure and high-performance computing. This required Toto to apply a more sophisticated lens—understanding renewable energy financing, project finance structures and loan mechanisms alongside traditional venture metrics.
Drawing on her prior experience at Salesforce and as a deals associate at PwC, she was able to bridge the gap between infrastructure finance and venture capital, helping the investment team better assess risk and long-term viability.
Her work highlights an important shift in the venture landscape. As AI infrastructure becomes more resource-intensive, investments are no longer purely about software—they increasingly involve physical assets, energy systems and complex financial models.
Toto’s ability to navigate both worlds positions her at the forefront of this evolution.
Because as technology scales, the future of venture capital won’t just be about code—it will be about the infrastructure that powers it.
