After Maharashtra cabinet minister Dhananjay Munde’s Kovid test positive, the question is being raised whether the Maharashtra cabinet needs to be sent to Quarantine. Because just two days ago, Munde attended a cabinet meeting in which several ministers were present along with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. However, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray himself was not present in the meeting hall. Thackeray was attending the meeting through video conferencing.
In such a situation, many senior ministers, including Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope, may be at risk. However, Tope has said that there is no need to send the rest of the ministers to the Quarantine as social distancing standards were fully followed in the meeting hall at the time of the above meeting. He also said that all ministers were wearing masks and according to ICMR guidelines, no minister is required to undergo the test. Tope said that the ministers present in the meeting did not show any symptoms like illness.
Dhananjay Munde also attended the party’s Foundation Day program at the NCP office. Along with Munde, 6 of his staff members came test positive on Thursday night. Although Munde’s health is fine, but there are symptoms like cough. He has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Munde is the third minister of Maharashtra, who came out test positive. Earlier, Ashok Chavan and Jitendra Ahwad also came test positive. Both these ministers are now spending time in isolation after returning from the hospital.
