True Blood Meets Sex in the City: Bruna Rubio’s new untitled thriller picked up by Netflix

Nevaeh is an all-new, suspenseful mini-series set in present-day in Los Angeles. This thriller will have the viewer on the edge of their seat waiting and wondering what will happen next?! Bruna Rubio, a well-known writer, producer and actor, wrote Nevaeh and stated, “Nevaeh will make you wonder if you can kill someone if they attempted to hurt someone you loved”. She has starred in many Spanish TV Shows and Movies. This mini-series will air primarily in Spanish, but Bruna’s goal is to relate to many Spanish-Americans here in the United States and Mexico. Nevaeh has an outstanding cast line up to really kick off its success. The cast includes actresses Fernanda Romero, Crystal Marie Dinah and actors Mike Erwin and Fernando Cermeno. She decided to produce the mini-series in Spanglish – she has a goal to relate to so many already in the Los Angeles area and beyond by dramatizing the harsh reality of an abusive relationship. Bruna said “This project was a big challenge for me, as a producer, I faced my problem editing this piece had to shoot and re-shoot extra scenes to make it what I wanted. I had to conquer what seemed to be almost impossible obstacles to save this project time and time again. When I originally created the copy for the script, I was planning on producing a movie called: Rosas de Piedra”. There are so many continual twists and turn of events throughout the script; creating a short mini-series instead of the originally scripted film will allow for the audience to anticipate future seasons.

The storyline on which this thriller was based on is about a young mother making a life-altering decision to save her own seven-year-old daughter. The mother is in an abusive relationship, which one night the anger turns on her daughter, and she had enough. This thriller will take the viewer through this roller coaster drama and show the extent this mother will go and the danger she takes on by protecting her daughter and freeing herself from her abusive boyfriend. Bruna’s self-owned production company, Goldheart Production Company fully produced this mini-series for streaming TV.
