BCCI President Sourav Ganguly announced on Wednesday that the Asia Cup 2020 has been canceled. The announcement was made a day before the meeting of the Asian Cricket Council on Thursday.

The Asia Cup to be held in September this year has been canceled. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, confirmed this on Wednesday. Sourav Ganguly announced on Wednesday that the Asia Cup 2020 has been canceled. The announcement was made a day before the meeting of the Asian Cricket Council on Thursday.

The BCCI president said that it is difficult to say whether this will be India’s first international series or not. We have made our preparations but cannot do anything about the rules of the government. We are not in any hurry. The health of the players is our first priority. We are monitoring the situation every month.

This time it was the turn of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), but India refused to go. After which it was decided to organize the tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

What did Ganguly say on IPL

Sourav Ganguly said that our efforts are going on regarding IPL. IPL is very important for India. We will try to get it done in India. Ganguly said that we can organize it in 4 to 5 volumes. But if it does not happen then we will think on getting it out of India. All options are open to us.

Earlier, Sourav Ganguly said that the ‘first priority’ is to organize the Indian Premier League (IPL) in India. He is hopeful that this breathtaking T20 league will be organized in 2020, despite the concern related to increasing cases of corona virus.

The highly popular T20 League IPL was to be held from March 29, but it was postponed indefinitely due to Corona virus epidemic.
