Former BJP MLA Pabubha Manek attempted an attack on Morari Bapu, a Ram Katha reader. Krishna devotees were angry with Bapu after a controversial statement on Lord Krishna and Balarama. Bapu reached Dwarka with the intention of pacifying the dispute. After the darshan at the Dwarka Jagat temple, Morari Bapu was sitting in a press conference with BJP MP Poonam Madam, while former MLA Pabubha Manek reached there and shouted loudly towards Bapu.

MP Madam and a worker stopped Pabubha and took him out. Poonam Madam also gave her gift to Pabubha after which he calmed down. Madam later said that if there is any wrong statement about God, resentment among the devotees is natural. On the other hand, Pabubha said that he wanted to ask questions to Morari Bapu in which religious book he wrote during the story.

Earlier, Kanha Vichar Manch and Aahir Samaj of Gujarat had launched a campaign against social storyteller Morari Bapu for the last few days on social media. He alleges that Morari Bapu made objectionable remarks on the descendants of Shri Krishna in a story in Uttar Pradesh. His elder brother Balaram and his descendants were also called drunkards. A video of Morari Bapu is also being shared by the forum, in which Morari Bapu is seen saying this with reference to something.
